As a gesture of international friendship, the Consulate General of Peru and the Peruvian Navy presented the Bust of Admiral Miguel Grau Seminario (an iconic and national hero), to the City of Lake Forest Park and to the State of Washington as everlasting gift from the people of Peru (October 2011). The Pfingst family, previous owners of the property, pastured horses and other animals in the meadow. Local children fondly called it "animal acres." The City purchased the property with King County Open Space Bonds. in 1997, and the park opened to the public in November, 2000.
Hours and Rules
The park is open to the public, dawn to dusk. Dogs must be kept on leashes. Rules are posted at the park.
