If you suspect that you have a hazardous tree on your property, we suggest that you contact a Certified Arborist and have the tree removed before it causes any damage. If the tree is not an imminent threat (i.e. could fall down at any time), fill out the Tree Removal and Replacement Application Form and turn it in to City Hall. In the case of an imminent threat to life or property, emergency removal of dangerous trees may be undertaken prior to receiving a permit. If this is the case, you must notify the Planning Department within one working day and apply for a tree removal permit within one week. Please take photos prior to any emergency removal. For more information, contact the Planning Department at 206-368-5440, stop by the Permit Center at City Hall, or print a tree removal permit.
